If you are an old movie buff – not you, the movies – you'll remember German-accented songstress Marlene Dietrich's throaty, raspy rendition of this classic tune from her 1930 movie, The Blue Angel (German: Der blaue Engel); her rendition was again used in a 1997 Mercedes-Benz commercial. The song, Falling in Love Again (Can't Help it), composed in 1930 by Frederick Hollander, has also been recorded by Billie Holiday (1940), Doris Day (1961), The Beatles (1962), Sammy Davis, Jr. (1963), Nina Simone (1966), Linda Ronstadt (1984), Marianne Faithfull (1997), Bryan Ferry (1999), and others.
